Sales and Marketing Manager

The Sales and Marketing Manager is an integral member of the club's management team and is responsible for maximizing catering & event revenues by creating and implementing the promotion and sales plans of the club's facilities for weddings, banquets, business meetings, social events, golf outings and member-related activities at the Club.
General Purpose:
Job consists of selling weddings, banquets and memberships.
Hourly position with commissions on sales.
Some marketing is required through networking within the community.
Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:
2-4 years of marketing and/or communications experience, preferably in hospitality.
College degree preferred.
Full-time work schedule predominately Monday through Friday, however, occasional evening, weekend and holiday work does occur.
The individual must have a flexible schedule and availability.
Excellent writing, grammar and communication skills required to maintain high service standards and interact with members daily.
Proficient time-management skills, detail-orientation and strong follow through with a high level of accuracy is required.
A strong track record of working independently and proactively assisting in identifying bold and creative new initiatives.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where multiple projects are ongoing at once, with different timelines and stakeholders (internal and external).
Strong analytical skills, communication and computer skills.
Familiarity with best practices and effective marketing and communications techniques in the club or hospitality industry.
Knowledge of or able to quickly learn different computer applications and internet modules including but not limited to Microsoft products, specialized club specific Apps, Adobe InDesign, internet sites, websites and club specialized software such as Jonas.
Position
Responsibilities:
Solicits new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals.
Method of sales may include, but are not limited to:
telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings, travel to key markets, and written correspondence.
Prepares written correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and ensures proper maintenance of sales files.
Prepares reports such as annual sales plan, monthly sales report, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, etc.
Assists in developing rates, group ceilings, and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis, and mix management.
Works with other departments within the venue to provide quality service to customers.
Attends trade shows, community events, and industry meetings.
Manages department members that may include, but is not limited to:
Group Sales Associate.
Creates and designs flyers, posters, website emails, newsletters, menus, brochures, creative copy, presentations, data entry, digital signage, and learns new applications as they may Manages social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, YouTube, etc.
) working independently and along with our outside marketing vendors Works with the Regional Director of Operations and Regional Sales & Marketing Director to achieve the approved business/marketing plans.
Adjusts plans as necessary to optimize goals and objectives of each golf Assists in the development of course marketing campaigns and communications to drive the awareness of events and social opportunities internally at each Prepares marketing analytics to measure performance for prioritizing and optimizing all marketing campaigns, with a focus on spend Maintains relationships with key Club staff, Community Partnership key staff and other vendors to coordinate and manage marketing partnerships.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
