JB Summary Ensure residents and guests have an enjoyable kayak experience through friendly, courteous, helpful service and the provision of clean, fully usable facilities.
Maintain and protect company equipment, property and facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare the Kayak Park area for residents and guests.
Ensure all Kayaks and equipment is in working order and clean.
Assist Residents and guests with moving kayaks from racks to the launch.
Ensure waivers are signed prior to disembarkment of kayaks Report any problems to the Director of Island and Marina.
Greet arriving residents and guests with relevant information about the facility or weather conditions.
Carry out necessary routine cleaning and light maintenance on equipment and storage areas.
Provide timely information to the Director of Island and Marina and other staff concerning maintenance needs, Kayak usage, weather conditions and other relevant information.
Secure all kayaks ,paddles and PFD's, at the end of the day.
Other Duties Be able and willing to interact with other employees in appropriate work place behavior.
As time permits, offer to explain and instruct visitors about the flora, fauna and ecosystem of the creek and surrounding waters Adhere to and ensure that Pelican Landing Community Association Standard Operating Procedures are followed and all Company assets safeguarded.
Adhere to all safety policies and reports any unsafe conditions to management.
Comply with all policies as described in the Pelican Landing Community Association Handbook.
Other duties may be assigned, based on company's needs.
Qualifications H.
S.
Degree preferred.
CPR, First Aid and AED Training Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge of or ability to learn about the flora, fauna, and ecosystem of surrounding waters.
Ability to work without supervision.
Great customer relations skills.
Ability to meet US employment eligibility requirements and PLCA eligibility requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities None Physical Demands Ability to repeatedly lift up to 40 pounds and repeatedly wheel carts with 100-pound loads in sun, heat and high humidity.
Heavy Bending/stooping, Pushing/pulling movements, Walking & Climbing stairs Ability to operate water and all-terrain vehicles Training Participate in training provided about emergency assistance, environmental and nature education and other personal enhancement opportunities recommended by the Beach Operations Manager.
Decision Making None Financial Responsibilities None Communication This person must be proficient in English for purposes of management direction, job responsibility and third-party interaction.
Must have excellent interpersonal/communication and customer service skills - approachable, cheerful, helpful, etc.
Equipment Used Leaf blower, Pressure washer Work Environment Private Community Amenity:
Outside all day.
Considerable interaction with co-workers, and residents.
Kayak operations run 7 days a week, 364 days a year.
Attendants need to be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
