JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Lube Technician Reports to: General Manager
Minimum hours per week: N/A Employee Type: Hourly Non-exempt
Job Description:
Responsible for performing automotive services and activities associated with the store in an accurate and timely manner according to company policies and procedures.
Employees Supervised: None
Key Statistics: Responsible for assisting in acquiring good Customer Service Satisfaction (CSS) Scores, and Mystery Shop Scores by properly executing job duties.
Principle Accountabilities:
Upper Bay Tech (UBT)
o? Execution and reinforcement of customer service mantra - Fast, Trustworthy, and Knowledgeable.Every time, Everywhere.
o? Performs upper bay automotive services according to J Team Service Standards (JTSS) vehicle team execution including:
o Guiding vehicles in safely.
o Assisting with vehicle light checks.
o Checking all vehicle fluids and filling to proper level.
o Checking tire pressure and filling to proper level.
o Inspecting air and cabin filters.
o Adding new oil to customer vehicles to proper levels.
o? Demonstrates good customer service skills.
o? Always wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
o? Certified in all Computer Based Training (CBT) modules except management including Upper Bay Tech, Courtesy Tech, and Lower Bay Tech.
o? Meets JTSS standards with no quality defects.
o? Executes the JTSS calls and response system properly.
o? Supports professional image and trust by showing respect to the customers' vehicles by using seat covers and floor mats during service.
Lower Bay Tech (LBT)
o? Execution and reinforcement of customer service mantra - Fast, Trustworthy, and Knowledgeable.Every time, Everywhere.
o? Performs upper bay automotive services according to J Team Service Standards (JTSS) vehicle team execution including:
o Inspect and fill differential and/or gearboxes as applicable.
o Lubricate chassis when applicable.
o Inspect entire under carriage for leaks, damages, or otherwise unusual instances and report them to the UBT and/or Team Leader (TL).
o Properly remove drain plug, inspect for damages, and drain oil from vehicle.
o Properly remove oil filter from vehicle and replace with a brand new manufacturer specified one.
o Perform proper safety and quality inspection.
o? Demonstrates good customer service skills.
o? Always wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
o? Certified in all Computer Based Training (CBT) modules except management including Upper Bay Tech, Courtesy Tech, and Lower Bay Tech.
o? Meets JTSS standards with no quality defects.
o? Executes the JTSS calls and response system properly.
o? Supports professional image and trust by showing respect to the customers' vehicles by using seat covers and floor mats during service.
Team Leader (TL)
o? Execution and reinforcement of customer service mantra - Fast, Trustworthy, and Knowledgeable.Every time, Everywhere.
o? Performs upper bay automotive services according to J Team Service Standards (JTSS) vehicle team execution including:
o Write work orders up using the Report on Conditions (ROC) form.
o Assist in vehicle light inspections.
o Complete all computer work on vehicle then send into the office for cash out.
o Must execute good floor control (assure speed of service).
o Ensure no handles policy in which all doors are to be opened for customers is being executed by all team members.
o? Demonstrates good customer service skills.
o? Always wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
o? Certified in all Computer Based Training (CBT) modules except management including Upper Bay Tech, Courtesy Tech, and Lower Bay Tech.

Courtesy Technician (CT)

o? Performs upper bay automotive services according to J Team Service Standards (JTSS) vehicle team execution including:
o Clean exterior windows.
o Vacuum vehicle interiors.
o Assists in vehicle light inspections.
o Greet customers within 10 seconds of driving on the lot if the Customer Service Advisor is with another customer.
o Drive vehicles in the bay as well as out once services have been completed.
o? Demonstrates good customer service skills.
o? Always wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
o? Certified in all Computer Based Training (CBT) modules except management including Upper Bay Tech, Courtesy Tech, and Lower Bay Tech.
o? Meets JTSS standards with no quality defects.
o? Executes the JTSS calls and response system properly.

Job Knowledge, Skills and
Experience:
Skills
? High School Diploma or equivalent.
? Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
? Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees.
? Ability to perform basic and intermediate level math calculations.
? Has completed required computer based training (CBT) modules for the CSA position, and CT position, and Product Knowledge.
? Attendance is an essential function of employment and you must be timely and ready to work your scheduled shifts.
Physical Requirements
? The Lube Technician position will require the employee to regularly service cars. Thus, while performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
? Use of hands, and fingers to feel, reach with hands and arms.
? Flexibility to work in awkward positions.
? Able to climb stairs.
? Able to lift objects up to 25 pounds and transfer from one height to another.
? Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
? Able to communicate clearly.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE)
? Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) always, setting an example for others to follow.
? Has completed CBT modules for HSSE1, HSSE2, and Safety.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
